Love & Hip Hop: “Reality Check” Recap

Love & Hip Hop’s producer Mona Scott Young, narrates this fake reunion, as the ladies refused to be in the same room as each other. This is absolute garbage! Adults in their 30s or 40s cannot be in the same room as each other? Meanwhile theBaseball Wives are petitioning for their own reunion.
The warehouse where the producers plot the stories is showcased and we see behind the scenes of what goes on with the planing and filming of each episode.
We are shown Jim first, he states that fiance Chrissy comes first and he does not need a manager [Yandy] that puts his business in the streets. Jim also signed up for the reality show because of Chrissy. Jim didn’t look Mona in the eyes once, but did manage to look at her when he said the third season will not be about his drama. Really? If there is no drama there is no show.
Emily signed on for Love & Hip Hop to get the attention of her “boyfriend” Fabolous, to shame him into claiming her. Really Emily? If he doesn’t acknowledge you in private or public, a television show will not help. Emily admits she was not intimate with Fabolous for over a year. Also Emily states she met Kim at an Atlanta party prior to meeting her on air. Kim states she has never met Emily. Who is delusional here? Met doesn’t mean you had drinks, dinner and went shopping, so either Emily is lying or Kim is. Why didn’t Emily state this before. Emily is now dating Fabolous and whoopee she claims Fabolous is now claiming her in public, it took a reality television to do this. So sad. But the real question that needs to be asked is, is he committed to Emily?
Get More: Love And Hip Hop
Juelz Santana didn’t want to film with Kim and has subsequently quit the show. Kim and Juelz are now not together. She implies he has been cheating as he is not keeping his penis in his pants.
Chrissy refuses to be interviewed by Mona, she feels Mona was only pushing for ratings. Hello!? She blames Mona for not allowing her to enjoy her engagement. She never hung out with Yandy, may be a drink once or twice.
Chrissy: But b*tch, if I wasn’t the personality I was, there would be no avenue for you to be a b*tch, you on my show! I am so good at what I’ve done, I have made an avenue for you b*tch, bow down!
Chrissy wants Yandy to worship her, hmmm ok.
Next up Yandy, who according to popular belief, has never slept with Jim. She thought she was cool with Chrissy who she claims has called her on occasion, when she had issues with Jim’s mother Nancy.
Yandy: Right when those roles got expanded, that when it was like, O no let me call the producers let me call Jim, we got to send Yandy down.
Nancy Jones was fanning herself like a southern belle and admits she does not like Olivia.
Olivia has a conversation with her mom and it apparently has helped and they are now talking. Rich is not in love with Olivia, but they are close friends, who cry over unfavorable record deals. Olivia states that Chrissy was wrong in the Kim fight. Wow she found her spine when Chrissy wasn’t in the same room. Olivia signed a deal – more than $500,000 well go on ahead Mr Longott!
Somaya was pissed that she had minimal airtime this season. Mona asks Somaya if she has a d*ck? Mona, what the hell are you serious? As apparently some think that Somaya is a man. What crassness Ms Producer. Somaya’s music deal was not filmed, Mona that was some BS! Yes drama sells and Love & Hip Hop’s ratings are excellent.
Now for Erica Mena, Mona you lost me with this addition, you knew exactly what you were doing with this mess. You want drama, fights and mess. Erica is a child. Mona inquires about her ample bosom as she was well covered up for the first time this season.  Erica, joined the show to boost her “singing career” but the poor little girl doesn’t have a singing voice as you all remember hearing off-pitch, cat call. She claims that her scenes were edited inaccurately. Mona then shows her the footage in it’s entirety, unedited. Erica then breaks down crying and she wants everyone to know she is real, there is more to her and wants the audience to give her a chance. Erica was wearing lace pants, what was that?
Miss Mona Scott Young, I enjoy Love & Hip Hop, but the fact you couldn’t get your contracted employees in the same room and record a reunion, and to act like adults instead of animals, leaves me to believe you have no control over your contracted players. The reality check was enjoyable, but a reunion would have been better. I’m surprised Teairra Mari didn’t make an appearance during the “reality check”.
If Nene Leakes & Kim Zolciak can be in the same room as each other, then so can these ladies.
What was the best or worst part of the show for you?

Love & Hip Hop: Chrissy Lampkin Reveals Pregnancy?

Is Love & Hip Hop reality star Chrissy Lampkin pregnant?
The reality star of VH1’s popular show and soon-to-be wife of rapper Jim Jones was seen in a photograph obtained by Mediatakeout wearing a loose-fitting, grey tee with a conspicuously placed scarf shielding what appears to be a growing baby bump.
While the rather talkative Lampkin is mum on the baby news, others are insisting congratulation is in order.
A really close source is claiming that the couple has tried for years to conceive and it never happened, but that “Chrissy is in fact pregnant—expecting the couple’s first child”.
“We’re all praying for a HEALTHY BABY to be born. Who, given his/her parents, will be SWAG-A-LOCIOUS!!!,” according to XXL Magazine.
The news comes days after a volcanic clip of Yandy Smith and Chrissy’s one-on-one interview with executive producer Mona Scott Young for the Love & Hip Hop reunion show that aired tonight.
Take a look at the picture below – do you spot a baby bump?
In other Love and Hip Hop news, VH1 has confirmed an Atlanta spin-off! It’s not surprising VH1 wants to capitalize off it’s rating boost from season 2. According to Access Atlanta, “VH1 has confirmed that they are doing a Love and Hip Hop featuring Atlanta hip-hop ladies.”

Who do you think they should cast for Love & HipHop HotLanta???

Love & HipHop's Reunion Show airs, "TONIGHT" on VH1 @8pm est

The Love and Hip Hop Reality Check is not your traditional reunion show. Due to all the fights and arguments the cast had with each other, the producers were forced to do something different since several of the ladies refused to be in the same room together! In revealing, one-on-one interviews with Executive Producer Mona Scott-Young, all of the Love and Hip Hop stars speak frankly about which cast members they get along with, who they hate, and answer all of the burning questions that the fans want to know. Can Emily and Fab work it out? What exactly was in Yandy’s explosive e-mail? Are Chrissy and Jim ever getting married? And, most shocking of all, find out who quit the show and may be gone for good. This special episode is not so much a season recap as it is a revelation of all the dramatic moments that never aired as well as a candid look at how being a reality TV star can change your life forever. Tune in TONIGHT on VH1 at 8PM est.

Will & Jada SPLIT? Keep the focus "PEOPLE"

By now you’ve heard all the reports: “Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are getting separated” and “Will & Jada deny split: We are still together“. I am amazed at the number of tweets and facebook postings that have been dedicated to this couple. Statements ranging from “Pray for the Smiths” to “Oh NO say it ain’t so!” have populated my twitter feed this morning. Here is my question for everyone that is looking at the Smiths, have you prayed for your own marriage lately? What about the state of all marriages? Why do the Smiths garner your special prayers?
I understand that they are the King and Queen of black Hollywood. I get it. What I also see is that they were an example of everything we aspire to be – smart, beautiful, talented, rich, and in love.  But, I’m also willing to bet that while we’re all tweeting and posting away on FB about the Smiths many of us haven’t taken the time to have one focused thought today about how we can work on being smart, beautiful, talented, rich, and in love in our own lives. It is so much easier to live vicariously through someone else than to put in the work to make it happen in your own life.
The Smiths are our ideal. Just like the Obamas. But while we are putting people and couples on pedestals, we must stop to remember that 1. They are human, and 2. They owe us nothing. We made them the black family ideal. In reality, they are just 2 people trying to make a marriage work. It’s hard enough stay married without the public glare, but can you imagine it when a whole community has their hopes and dreams placed upon your shoulders?
If we are to learn anything from this separation rumor, maybe it’s to stop and appreciate your own relationship. Go home tonight and hold your spouse’s hand. Kiss them a bit deeper tonight. Pray a bit harder for God’s covering upon not just your family but all families. Maybe tonight is the night to let the argument go. Maybe right now is the time to reaffirm your commitment to your own covenant. Maybe that is the lesson that we are to learn from Will and Jada.

Your relationship is not DEAD! It is living, breathing, and requires your time, attention, and love in order to be successful.  In order for this to occur it’s important that you make yourself “available” to your spouse and endeavor to create a “safe space” so that your spouse will feel more comfortable being “available” to you.
No matter how long you’ve been together, there are always more things to learn about one another.  Knowing more about your spouse may assist you in taking your relationship to the next level.
If the two of you disagree on some of these statements, talk about them in more depth. You may find that you will just have to agree to disagree now and then!

‘HawthoRNe’ Finale Recap: Did You See that Coming?

The much anticipated season finale of TNT’s “HawthoRNe” aired last night, giving fans a giant dose of drama and the biggest cliffhanger the show’s seen yet.

It’s all smooth sailing when the episode begins, with many of our favorite characters finally beginning to reach the light at the end of their tunnels. Christina, who accepted the temporary job of running James River, and Tom have found a way to be cordial to one another and she received a mostly warm welcome back. She and Bobbie work out their differences, though Tom is still too angry to really talk.

Tom is forced to operate on a dear friend with ALS whose wife insists he live another day. Meanwhile, Bobbi and Steve try to decide what’s next for them and when they will get married, but the decision is made for them when she finds out that her proposal has been approved and she’ll be heading up the new research center. Camille heads off to college after a long chat with her mother about how much she’s grown and how they’ll always have their special bond. (They make a great on screen mother-daughter duo, don’t they?)

Tom swings by Christina’s to offer some forgiveness and to let her know he’s sorry for his part in what happened. Christina seems to finally be ready to start smiling again until Nick shows up. He’s been missing for days and when she tries to ask where he’s been, he just pushes his ways in, acting pretty bizarre. (Was he drunk?) The next thing we know he has a gun on Christina’s kitchen table and he’s asking her if she fears him. It seems that all he wants is Christina’s love. Though terrified, Christina holds it together long enough to see him out. Before she can even process what happened, she hears a gunshot out front. Nick actually shot himself in the heart in his car while parked in front of her house. Christina runs out to help him, but it looks like he’s dying fast. She screams for help while holding Nick’s limp body in her arms. Fade to black…

Yikes, we sure hope Nick pulls through. It’s been a tough season filled with drama, but none of it was worth a life. What do you think? Was the cliffhanger too much for you?
